Colourful Christmas decor was everywhere when I visited Habitat for a blogger dinner.
It was great to chat to the Habitat team and lifestyle bloggers who were as eager to get that Christmas fever as I was.
Everyone who I spoke to mentioned the vibrant style of Habitat’s space and it’s no surprise as the brand has always been vibrant and quirky in my opinion. So, it’s time to take a leaf out of Habitat’s book and create a colourful Christmas space with these easy to copy dinner table ideas.
Christmas Dinner Table Decor
Easily forgotten crockery is just as important as the decorations so lets start with that. You can easily add colour to the table with these green plates and you don’t have to use these during Christmas either. The green hue is sure to go nicely with your Christmas tree or add a contrast to any other bold colours that you use.
Glassware is super important too, because everyone will be drinking (alcoholic or not) during the festivities so have a think about the shape of your glasses and how you’d like them to be set out on the table. They’re practical and add an extra sparkle to your table.
Decorate with Neon
I love these fun and colourful Christmas decorations. Against the gold theme of the setting, the vibrant pops of pink coming from the Christmas crackers and the ball garland really shines and grabs the guests attention. If you’re looking for a more modern spin then bold pinks and oranges are definitely a great way to show off that bright personality of yours.
Vibrant Christmas Tree with Gold and Bronze
Making a unique Christmas tree the focal point of your main room will allow you to add colour subtly without overpowering the space. I really liked this quirky tree because I can see myself being able to change the baubles and Christmas tree decorations every year depending on what theme I felt like styling the home with. One year it can be gold and bronze with specks of bright pink or the next I could go all white and glitter for a winter wonderland look. The possibilities are endless 🙂
Winter Berry Drinks with Spices
Don’t forget that drinks add colour to the table too. A deep berry colour can add a traditional feel to your table or make a Mulled Wine Mojito to match to your green plates. Of course there are also the usual Christmas drinks too, such as Bucks Fizz or Eggnog. There’s plenty to choose from so take your pick and match them to your colourful Christmas decor.
