As I’m another year older I wanted to make some notes on what I’ve achieved in my life and what I’m looking forward to in the year ahead.
Yup, I’m afraid it’s one of those soppy posts that people usually do for New Year. I guess being away from my family and fiance on my actual birthday because I am competing at a Cheerleading competition in Birmingham pushes me to make a special note about my birth day so as not to miss it… 🙂
Winning Best Interior Blog Award 2014
I still can’t believe I won and am so very very grateful to everyone who voted for me, stood by me, supported me and, of course, saw my full potential. It’s not the end of my determination, instead I see it as a helpful push in the right direction for working harder! A massive thanks again to NEXT too who sponsored the awards.
Buying My First Home & Getting Engaged
Although I’ve been engaged for a couple of years now, the reason we’re having our wedding at the end of this year is because we wanted to buy our own place first. Now that we’ve finally done that less than half a year ago I feel that my mission is complete. We love our place, are keenly redecorating and settling in perfectly with the help of our amazing families.
Generally Being Happy
I’m currently loving my full time job in the city, my team are the best (don’t tell them I said this…haha) I’m into my crafts, with making my own wedding invitations and everything. I also feel more advanced at knitting so have been investing more and more time and money in creating pretty cool stuff (if I do say so myself). My sister has also bought me an online writing course so I’m hoping to plan out a book in the next couple of years to maybe become a writer some day 🙂
The only down side I’m currently finding is that I feel I don’t have much time… I do cheerleading, go to choir one day a week, I’ve also taken up yoga to spend more time with my mum and I regularly knit and cook. All of that is on top of my full time job! So, I will either die from exhaustion or I might have to start cutting down what I do.
FIY, I also want a German Sheppard dog but don’t see that happening whilst I’m still working.
Looking Forward to the Wedding
From now on all my efforts will be going into planning my wedding (I say ‘my’ because the other half is entrusting me with most of the work to be honest…lol) From wedding invites to wedding table plans etc, I’m sure it’ll be stressful but TOTALLY worth it!!
So, wish me luck and don’t forget to say hi to me on this special day on twitter 😉
