Did you know that you should change your mattress every 7 years?
I didn’t either, don’t panic.
I remember when I bought my first ever bed and mattress after finishing university and I was very proud of myself because it felt like a mature purchase. Now after 5 years it’s time to replace it. I feel a little sad but a mattress especially is so important for your health and well being that it’s stupid not to replace one that’s breaking your back.
I personally get confused with what types of mattresses there are and which ones I prefer. Soft, medium and firm you say? Memory what? I’m joking really, I mean I do get confused but mostly because all of the materials and firmness ratings seem good to me. My parents always told me to ‘go try them out.’ That’s why when Leesa contacted me, offering one of their lovely mattresses to review, I jumped at the chance.

About Leesa & the Mattress:
So, ordering online on the Leesa website is really simple. I had to offer my personal and account details and then the mattress was sent to me. The site states that delivery will take 7 working days max and as I work from home it didn’t really matter to me when it was due to arrive. I wasn’t expecting the mattress when it was at my door which was a pleasant surprise.
The delivery is great. It comes in a box and the mattress is air-tightly packaged. This is perfect for flats and renters who need to drag the mattress into a bedroom which is up a few flights of stairs or secretly so that their roommates didn’t see that the landlord replaced it…
The materials that the mattress is made from were engineered and developed with you in mind because the whole brand ethos is to ensure we all get a better night’s sleep. Cute 🙂
- The bottom later is 12cm of dense core foam
- Topped with memory foam which moulds and contours to the shape of your body, making it perfect for all types of sleepers.
- Then the top layer is cooling foam for a restful (and less sweaty) night’s sleep.
Finally, I feel it’s an affordable mattress, especially when you are expected to spend a fortune on big brands like Sealy, Sleepeezee and Silentnight. I know that you don’t buy a mattress often so you can afford to invest a bit more money, but you still want to get the best deal out there right?
