So, My Shower Broke

Eek! *Jumps out of the shower*

I saw a spark coming from the shower unit so, sopping wet, I sprung out of the shower, shivering. Since that day I haven’t showered at home once. Oh, don’t worry I still used the bath but unfortunately it’s just not as easy to have a quick wash anymore.

It made me laugh that I received an email not long after this happened from Victoria Plum, who put together a neat little post on the top 5 most common causes of poor shower experience. Eager for a laugh I read the post and sympathised. Apart from bad water pressure and leaking showers I wanted to add a 6th worst experience which is electric sparks... After all, it’s life threatening! Anyway, enough of my moan.

Here’s what my bathroom would look like if I had the money:

grey black bath tub centrepiece in bathroom marble sink with brass taps bathroom storage accessories from sea shells and wicker

I took these photos at the LivingEtc House Tours last year so this is actually someone’s bathroom – jealous much!

Anyway below is a whole Pinterest board of my timeless bathroom ideas you can swoon over like I do.

That’s my dream bathroom, spacious and classy!
My worst shower story was getting in the shower when the boiler broke, without realising we had no hot water, then having a cold shower (in winter!).

I had a roll top bath and adored it but it just wasn;t practical with the kids who threw water over the sides and managed to bring down the kitchen ceiling. Hope you get your shower fixed x

That’s a bit scary. I’m relieved we don’t have an electric shower.

I’d love a bathroom like this too. It’s going to be a long time before I get anything like a free standing bath. I hope your shower gets sorted soon
