Urban Decay Smoky Palette Review

The beauty world had gone crazy for this eye shadow palette earlier this month and in case you don’t know what it is (and have been living under a rock!) it’s the new Urban Decay’s Naked palette called Smoky.

Once again the makeup brand managed to create a perfectly harmonious selection of eye shadow colours that will help beauty lovers, like me, create amazing smokey eyes.

Don’t forget to look beyond the gorgeous marble exterior of the palette and into its selection of matte and glittery eye-shadow hues. Just like Naked 2 by UD, this selection gives the makeup artist/enthusiast the opportunity to create either a subtle day look and statement smokey eyes.

I use it mostly for a subtle look – a day time, smokey – yet not too dark – kind of finish if you know what I mean? I use Thirteen as a highlighter under my eyebrows, Combust as a base then build the eye makeup with Smolder, Black Market and Whiskey as an accent. I am looking forward to using Armor, Dirtysweet and High for when I’m going out clubbing in Essex for my second hen!

I’m also hoping to use the palette for my wedding as I decided to do my own makeup because I’m fussy and can practice so much more at my own time. I think I can get the perfect look with it. (I will update this post with my bridal pictures to show you how my makeup turned out in the end!)

What colours would you recommend and think go well together?

WOW those shades are magnificent! It reminds me of Naked 2 and Naked 3 combined in a way! I love the pigment it has on your arm! At least it looks very pigmented 🙂 thanks for the review! x
