EEEK! I finally managed to investigate the attic in my new house … maybe I did find a random (used?) mattress in there … and maybe I was creeped out as if someone was watching me from one of the corners like I was in one of the Paranormal Activity movies…
Regardless, my mind started ticking and I’ve thought of three fab ideas for the attic if I was to renovate:
1. Multi-Functional Attic
When I was younger I always wished for an attic bedroom and now is no exception. I think it’ll work great if I utilised all the space perfectly, such as adding shelving for my many books wherever possible and a working desk for my blogging too! I’d always go for diagonal windows to ensure there’s plenty of light coming in from outside – especially as currently there are no windows in my attic! Obviously I’ll need blinds from VELUX in order to blackout the room when I’m ready for bed (I’m sensitive to light that way…)
A person can breathe so high up 😉
2. Serene Seat in the Attic
I want this window seat and I don’t care how I get it or where it is in the house, I just want it… now please!
I’m a sucker for cosy spots to read and knit… I can be a bit of a granny that way but I can simply be glued to this kind of spot and get completely lost in my books and crafts.
3. Fun Children’s Attic Bedroom
Everyone knows that attics are great for children and so I thought of a colourful, shared kids bedroom similar to the above. It’s perfect as I’m not planning to have children until I’m 30(+++) haha so it gives me plenty of time to make this room come to life!
Have you renovated your attic or if not, what would you do if you could?
