3 Valentine’s Day Ideas to Set the Scene

Counting down the days until it’s Valentine’s Day? Me too! And not only because it’s my birthday the day after but because I get to spend some time with my favourite person in the whole world 😉

Sorry about the cheesy statement above but we’re engaged… and getting married soon… and moved into our first house recently… and it is Valentine’s Day after all…

Anyway! Here are 3 cute Valentine’s Day ideas for setting the table for a romantic meal, especially if you’re like us and love cooking and eating together 🙂

The Romantic Dining Table

I love this table setting and it’s simple to recreate too! First, I’d set the table as usual with my ordinary white table cloth and neutral plates. Then, I would use soft black card so that I can write special messages on it with chalk, including ‘in jokes’ or ‘sweet nothings’ that only he and I would know about. Cute right? Well, I’d complete it with a few candles in the middle and scatter red rose petals here and there for that perfect finishing touch.

Top Tip: Be sure to have stylish dining table and chairs for your evening. Obviously you need a dining room that you’ll be happy with if you’re going to celebrate your love in it!

Sweet Love Setting

This love nest has the sweetest look. The first thing that caught my eye is the tactile texture of the fur seat cover. What a creative way to create a relaxing and perfect space for dining – almost bohemian! With pink table accessories, like glasses and place mats, as well as fresh flowers in a variety of pink hues the scene is complete for your valentine.

Top Tip: Eating your romantic meal doesn’t have to be an evening dinner only so maybe treat your partner to a divine lunch instead?

Together Forever Picnic

Throw down a sheet on the floor, put together your favourite (or most naughty) desserts and have a comfortable and cosy picnic. The only other thing you’ll need is candles to add mood lighting.

Top Tip: Add fresh flowers and potpourri to appease all your senses and complete your romantic scene 🙂

So which one do you like most and what will you be doing this Valentine’s Day?
