Sometimes you come home and you simply fancy a change. Am I right?
There are a few easy ways that I like to update my home interior without much effort. Here are the top five:
1. Add fresh flowers
It’s that easy. Do what I do, hint to your other half (or family/friend) to buy you flowers and your indoors is transformed in a giffy. It’ll smell good and look so fresh, spring-like and colourful too. I got my beautiful flowers delivered from Debenhams.
Use the discount code DFBLOG25 to get 25% off. It’s an offer to my readers (you!) so be sure to tweet me a picture using @alinaisaev if you end up ordering as I’d love to see them! [T’s & c’s apply]
2. New curtains
Strip your windows and put up new coloured curtains to add a new look to the room. They don’t even have to be expensive but they’ll still make a massive difference.
3. Rearrange your furniture
Look at all the furniture that you have and think about how you can rearrange it to suit your needs and bring a new perspective. Think about drawing a room plan out beforehand if you’re unsure. Even swapping two pieces of furniture or just removing one large item can create a different atmosphere.
4. Paint or add wallpaper to the Room
The colour and design of your walls can make or break a room. That’s why making any change will bring something new to the table… and could cost you as little as £10!
5. New cushion covers
I love my cushions so I find that changing their covers a really fun process ;). In a perfect world I’d like to change my cushion covers every time my mood changes to reflect what I feel… however I’ll be happy to stick to changing these when the seasons do – so use summery colours when it’s warm outside or deep hues when it’s cold and miserable.
