A Holiday Dream Day

Guess I’ve got the holiday blues feeling and the realisation that I’m getting married next year is finally sinking in!

I’ve been engaged for nearly two years now so there has been a mid-way lull in my wedding organising, but since I’ve come back from holiday wedding magazines and Pinterest pictures have had me mesmorised. I’m back into the frame of mind where I’m thinking of what dress to wear and what accessories will go with it.

Due to my awesome holiday, (you can see the places that I visited here,) I keep dreaming about a beach wedding scenario with the soft soothing sounds of the waves gently caressing the beach. Here’s the look I envisage for myself… (that is, if my family EVER let me get married abroad haha – but one can dream right?)

I think I’d definitely go for a modern vintage wedding dress, where it’s shorter than the traditional gowns seen most often, especially as it can get so hot in a country like Spain. I’m recently obsessed with lace and think it’s perfect on a wedding dress as it doesn’t weigh me down (eeek I’m going to be a bride… THE bride!)

To accessorise I want something delicate yet outstanding, something that doesn’t take away from my dress – rather adds that something special to the whole look. I think the necklace and earrings go well together with the lovely leaf and diamond designs, perfectly finishing off the look.

Also, I’ve always dreamed of wearing a birdcage veil too, so I’ve added that into my dream day style mix – do you think it’ll go with the dress?

Super excited about trying on dresses with my girlfriends in the next few months and continuing my little day dreams of the big day! 😉
