Whether your dad likes travelling, pirates or a bit of mystery he’s sure to like a unique gift with a map!
Year after year I look for something different to buy my dad so I’ve put together this gift guide to give you a few ideas because I know they helped me. I’ve even surprised myself with the things I’ve found. They’re all themed in case you didn’t notice, I wonder if you can guess what it is…
A Mapped DIY Basket
Here’s my tutorial where you can make the basket for your dad yourself! I’ve used custom map fabric from Zazzle* which was thick and therefore easy to work with so I think even a beginner sewer/ crafter can make one of these 🙂
A 3D Globe that’s also a Scratch Map
I’ve never seen one of these before and was fascinated straight away. It’s a scratch globe from Notonthehighstreet.com and how I understand it is that you scratch the places you’ve been to – so perfect for those dad who love to travel.
AND That Something Special
For a dad that has his own space, like an office, this stylish and manly Graham & Brown Ampersand  is ideal just to add some character to the place. Maybe there could be a theme of treasure throughout the room too, or I’d go further and make it into a pirate room!
Around the World Dad
I found an adventure travel map from The Great Gift Company which I thought was interesting. I’ve never heard of the company before but found this awesome gift online. Dad could easily use it as a framed piece of art as well as to mark out where he’s been travelling too!
A Cool Dad Map Tee
A quirky father’s day idea that you know he’ll wear (at least once… on Father’s Day!) is this UK map t-shirt. Easy to slip on, dad will be looking cool in no time, right?
Fun Father’s Day Accessories
I love this fun tablet case with a world map design from Dotcomgiftshop. As dads get more savvy we can help them look after their technology whilst they keep up with modern trends. I think it would be a nice gift for my dad who’s immigrated a number of times around the world looking for that right spot for his family and finally found the UK.
Mapped Out Works of Art
Minted have some sleek looking framed maps that would be cool for a dad that likes America. I’ve not used the site as it’s American based & sold in dollars but I do love the look of the artworks’ sheen and bet the shine of the presents in person is fantastic!
