Bridget Jones Movies Night In

Bridget Jones, the character, is awkward but adorable.

Although I constantly want to cringe whilst watching her live her life I just can’t help but admire her. She tries hard in everything that she puts her mind to and regardless whether or not her soup turns blue or her large panties get in the way… she still has a spring in her step and keeps her head up high.

The lovely team at Moda in Pelle sent me a Bridget Jones night-in hamper full of nibbles, Bridget Jones inspired goodies and the first two films to watch with my girlfriends. They have a competition currently running to win a girl’s night in hamper plus 10% off next order (t’s+c’s apply) so be sure to check it out and enter with your answer to who’s the actor of Mr Darcy?, your name and email address!

As you can see I simply couldn’t resist recreating the scene from the first move where she’s in the convertible, wearing a scarf to protect her hair from getting windswept (which of course she fails with miserably.)

As soon as I got the films I took them to watch with my besties. I know we’re in our mid twenties but we still love our sleepovers, especially as on this occasion we celebrated our friend buying her first flat! As we watched and chatted; prosseco in one hand and nibbles in the other, we watched Bridget Jones’ heartache and love life unfold.

I must say we picked out our favourite scenes pretty quickly. We all enjoyed the fight scene, where they meet in the snow and I think that the ‘wobbly bits’ is brilliant. Such a cute romantic comedy which will melt your heart!

I can’t wait for to watch Bridget Jones’s baby 🙂

What is your favourite scene in Bridget Jones 1 and/or 2?

My favourite scene is the knicker scene when she is caught hanging above – oh how I howled with laughter! Sounds like you had a great girly night! Note to self: I must do one soon!
