At the Certified Indigenous book press event I really did step into a world of luxur. I was greeted by young uniformed men serving delicious bubbly glasses of fine champagne and had the pleasure of conversing with journalists from highly recognised publications.
BUT let’s not talk about my feelings of complete unease in this sophisticated environment and talk about the book for which the press event was organised!
Book 3 in The Luxury Collection is all about travelling the world, recommending itineraries for the more affluent explorers. With the mission of creating incredible memories, the concierges of The Luxury Collection have put together a book that covers fantastical places around the world, including Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin and North America.
I liked the fact that one of their top aims is for the explorer to “experience the resorts and their spectacular surroundings as genuinely as locals”. For me, true world travel is about experiencing the different cultures and authentic ways of living and staying away from the tourist attractions. It should be about understanding new ceremonies, discovering the lesser known treasures and appreciating the architecture or iconic nature that’s still untouched by man.
From cover to cover, the Certified Indigenous book has morning, afternoon and evening suggestions in only the best locations and is full of beautiful photography that is certain to mesmorise any traveller with its promises of utopia.
Right, so I’ve decided that my next stop is Waikiki, Hawaii, USA… how about you?

Looks like a great event!
