I was honoured to have been invited to the Dulux press event a couple of weeks ago, which was held at Somerset House.
There was an interesting presentation by the team that explained the different ranges of their new collections at which point they also revealed that the colour of the year 2015 is Copper Blush!
Dulux Colour of the Year 2015 – Copper Blush
It’s impossible not to say that the shade of this colour is beautiful. I think Dulux have got it spot on, representing the dark luxe living that’s trending in interiors currently. The Copper Blush colour was partnered with wood, deep browns and reflective surfaces, like kitchen brass utensils, to really show off it’s luxurious and rustic effect in any room. I most especially liked how simple onions were used as props to contrast the Copper Blush colour with the off-white and cream shades to complete the scene.
The ombre wall pictured above was definitely one of my favourite features in the Dulux event. The creative flare and modern artistry really came to the foreground here and I enjoyed staring at it intently to figure out exactly how I can replicate it myself in my own home – absolutely divine!
Do you like the Copper Blush colour and do you think Dulux made the right choice appointing it the colour of 2015?

Copper homeware is just so gorgeous! I love the Copper Blush colour but it wouldn’t be for me at home. I prefer light, bright walls with accents of copper… maybe it would make a nice feature wall though!

Thanks Rosie, I agree – make it a small statement 😉
