After 9 years together, we celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary.
You might have spotted my post on the 23rd November where I mentioned that the hubby has a surprise for me. Well, my lovely surprise was a Champagne afternoon tea at Rowhill Hotel in Kent. We went there many years ago but this time it has had a refurbishment and redecoration. Instead of the dark room full of deep reds and blues that it used to be it was now bright and lively.
The afternoon tea was delicious (obviously haha) and they were even kind enough to swap our cucumber sandwiches for extra salmon without asking us to pay extra and it was soooo good! Their grounds were just as idyllic as the food and I took up the chance to pose 😉
Knee High Boots* – Moda in Pelle | White Knitted Jumper – Debenhams | Ripped Jeans – H&M | Bag – old
Knee high boots are definitely the new craze which started peaking last year along with long skirts and ghillies shoes. Whereas the longer skirts make me look like a dwarf, knee high boots do the exact opposite. I feel tall and I feel slim… even after a massive gorge over those cakes with my afternoon tea! The chunky heel is super comfortable, and although I’m someone who wears heels nearly all the time, these are one of the ones I can easily wear for the whole day as they’re also keeping my legs warm during the cold months.
I styled my black boots with my new favourite super skinny, ripped jeans and a white oversized knitted jumper (I love my jumpers by the way… you can find out more about that here hehe.) I completed my look with a black and white bag that I recently found tucked away at the back of my wardrobe. It fitted in perfectly with the outfit I think 😉
What do you think of knee high boots?
