Have you ever put flat pack furniture together?

Yes? How long did it take you?

It took me forever too… but not any more.

I was invited by Next to celebrate their super easy and super stylish flat pack furniture.

It took the man doing the demonstration next to no time (if you pardon the pun) to put together the furniture unit. He said it will take him under 15 minutes but in fact he did it in half of that time. It shows just how easy it is.

You’ll see from the photos above that there’s a lot of furniture on offer and across most of the rooms for the home, from chest of drawers to tables and cupboards. I absolutely love the legs of the dining table, don’t you?

Anyway, the breakfast was really lovely and the demonstration was impressive. I also had the pleasure to finally meet the lovely bloggers from Media Marmalade, Merry Musings and The Lovely Drawer. They’ve all been blogging for years, longer than myself and had some really interesting things to share. It was great to meet them in person and put the ‘face to the blog’ as they say 🙂

By the way, if you remember my Easter DIY styling post then you’ll recognise Next’s beautiful armchair. Well that came in a box and it was as easy as screwing on its four legs and putting it down in order for me to sit on it. I now use the chair for my new YouTube channel which you can find below so make sure to subscribe!

Wow! I can’t believe it took so little time to put it together – I am pretty awful at flatpack assembly, though, so I’m sure I would take longer!!

Woah, that was super fast. I hate flatpack furniture. It never goes together for me. I think all flatpack furniture hates me. Luckily my Dad can fix anything!

Wow, that is so fast! I HATE flat pack furniture, Ikea must be just about the worst for it, I always have to get my Dad round to sort it for me. I just stay well away as he sits there swearing at the instruction manual!!

Ooh I love all of this furniture, especially that lovely sideboard! Modern and classic at the same time.

My husband has the joys of the furniture building in this house – I am sure I would be awful at it! This all looks fab!

Looks like a fab event, I am not a fan of flatpack furniture – I find it falls apart too easily

  • Oh I love Next home items, I am impressed with this furniture. Flat pack and me just do not go together so I normally get my dad to do anything like that for me xx

There’s some nice stuff there – the French farm kitchen style cabinet is particularly nice.
