Three Places I Visited This Summer

Although it’s sad coming back from a two week holiday in Spain, Alacante, it’s kind of nice to be back home – back to normality.

I’ve made sure to take plenty of pics to remember the places I’ve visited and the things I saw. So, here are a few of my favourite photos.

Moriara Sunrise

It was a beautiful sight the Moraira sunrise! I loved watching the sun peek from behind the mountains, there’s something serene and magnificent about it – even though I know it happens everyday. It’s just such a magical sight 🙂

These are only a few of the many snaps that I took but I wasn’t sure what setting to put my camera on – any tips on what I should do next time?

Calpe Rock

Calpe is great. It has a very unique ‘rock’ as you can see and a great variety of restaurants by the sea. I pretty much had the perfect summers day here as the weather was fab, the company was great and I had refreshing cold beer by the beach – now what can be more perfect than that 😉

Guadalest View

Guadalest is a wonderful little town up on a mountain top. It has the most beautiful views and above are the few of my favourites. The cliffs, the hills and the brilliantly blue lake all took my breath away. Also, did anyone else notice that the rock in the last image looks like it has a face? haha.

I’m sharing these as part of the challenge for city view travel photography and although my photos are not of cities but towns in Spain I believe their view ignites the same emotions, such as philosophical thought.

I find Moraira especially interesting because it has considerably grown in the last decade but it has a law that states buildings cannot be over a number of floors – hence its buildings are low and why it doesn’t have skyscrapers.
